Pelvic Organ Prolapse

RACGP and ACRRM approved. Fellows of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) can claim hours in the MY CPD program.

Pelvic Organ Prolapse (POP) affects up to 50% of women and can significantly impact quality of life.
This structured course led by APA Women’s Health Physiotherapist Rachel Andrew provides practical clinical tools to identify POP early, support patient self-management, and apply evidence-based treatment strategies – all while addressing the emotional and physical realities of this common condition.

Education Activity = 6hrs
Reviewing Practice = 1hr
Total CPD on completion of online element = 7hrs
Measuring Outcomes = 3–5hrs (optional)

This learning helps GPs, nurses and other clinicians as soon as they start the online training. Read what they're saying below. Plus:

  • Meet the women who will change your mind about communication of symptoms, treatment pathways and more
  • Learn about the non-surgical options that can hold off, or even prevent the need for surgery
  • Discover how could you relieve your patient's symptoms immediately
  • Conservative management of prolapse using pessaries by a qualified pelvic health physio is possible. We show you all the different types and uses.
  • Learn about the different treatments, and hear from our visiting gynaecologist to get you up to date with their preferences and what makes a great referral, if that is required.

If you work in a rural or remote area, check your eligibility for a Health Workforce Scholarship Program grant.
